RESEARCH, STRATEGY AND INSIGHT

Adam was born in Walthamstow, East London but grew up just outside Sheffield in the north of England. Naturally curious and keen to understand the world and its people from an early age, he studied History at Leeds Beckett University.

After graduating Adam moved to London to start an internship at Protein, where he supported the insights & editorial team on strategic projects for youth-focused brands including Puma, Dr. Martens, Converse, and Absolut.

In 2015 he started a graduate scheme with the political polling and research agency Populus, where he developed the core skills of qualitative research under the generous and thorough guidance of a small senior team. While at Populus Adam was involved in a wide range of projects for blue chip clients including Citizens Advice, Scottish Power, Thames Water, BT, and the ‘i’ Newspaper.

Leaving Populus in 2017, Adam joined the criminal justice reform charity Revolving Doors Agency as a Senior Research Officer. At RDA he managed the commercial monitoring and evaluation activity for a range of third-sector clients such as HMCTS, HMPI, and York Council. His research also contributed to the evidence base for a number of policy reform campaigns and public relations activities aimed at reducing prison sentencing and repeat offending.

In 2018 Adam joined Discovery Research as a Research Manager, where he has led qualitative projects for major British brands including the BBC, British Heart Foundation, Nectar, Virgin Media, and Pearson among others.

Having founded NEWBUREAU, a strategy and research studio in 2022, he works with agencies and brands to help people understand human behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes.
